🚀 Get Started: Connect Carbon Voice to Claude

For HTTP Transport (Remote)

You can connect your Carbon Voice account to Claude in just a few clicks—no technical setup required.

⚠️ You’ll ask to be logged into your Carbon Voice account in your browser to complete the connection.

Step-by-step:

1. Open Claude in your web browser.

   Go to Settings → Connectors.

2. Click “Add custom connector.”

3. In the pop-up:

   • Name → type Carbon Voice
   • Remote MCP server URL → copy and paste this: https://mcp.carbonvoice.app

4. Click “Add”.

5. Once added, click “Connect” next to the Carbon Voice connector.

6. You’ll be prompted to log into your Carbon Voice account—this securely links Claude to your messages and conversations.

For Stdio Transport (Local Installation)

Required:

1. Carbon Voice API Key - Contact the Carbon Voice development team to request your API key:

   • 📧 Contact: [email protected]
   • 📧 Subject: "Request API key for MCP Server"

2. npx Installation - You must have npx installed on your system. npx comes bundled with Node.js (version 14.8.0 or later). If you don't have Node.js installed, you can download it from nodejs.org.

   To verify your installation, run:

   npx --version
   

If you prefer to run the MCP server locally with API key authentication:

1. Open your Claude Desktop configuration file:
   • macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Claude/claude_desktop_config.json
   • Windows: %APPDATA%\\Claude\\claude_desktop_config.json
